List of highest ranking doctors groups in the United States according to analysis by NursingHomeDatabase.
When it comes to healthcare, patients want the best possible care and experience. That's why we have compiled a list of the highest-ranking doctors' groups in the United States. This report is based on the results of an annual survey called the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems or "CAHPS". (You know the US government cannot pass up any opportunity to generate an acronym.) This list below shows the groups with the highest ratings over seven different metrics, including:
- Getting Timely Care, Appointments, and Information
- How Well Providers Communicate
- Patients Rating of Provider
- Health Promotion and Education
- Shared Decision Making
- Care Coordination
- Courteous and Helpful Office Staff
One limitation of the CAHPS is that not all doctors groups are represented. Hopefully this will be remedied going forward. One of the reasons that drove us to publish these results is to get more groups to be included in the results. Survey data can be very important for individuals considering which provider to choose. (For those lucky souls who do have a choice. For those of us who do not have a choice, hopefully we can pressure our insurance providers to offer more choices where a group is not performing well.)
